We are all eager to talk about the fact that “God is love” when we speak to others. What about when you look in the mirror. Are you willing to tell that person in the mirror that God loves you? In the coming weeks, we will be adding “yourself” into the love equation. We’ve talked about what it means to love God and our neighbor, now we’re going to add you and me to that mix.

Using Frederick Beuchner’s understanding of love as “working for the well-being of another”, we will be talking about the following questions:
- What does it mean to work for your own well-being as a way of loving self?
- Why will/do we want to love self? Can one truly love another if you do not love yourself?
