For the class on the Second Sunday of Advent. December 4, 2016
Our church believes in prayer and as we work together, it becomes clear that we also want to support each other and those who live outside of the church. To be a witness to others, what does it mean? How can we learn to be a witness in our daily lives even if sometime we are physically limited? These are some of the questions we are asking in our class.
When we share the bread and the wine, it is our belief as Lutherans that the bread and the wine empower us and strengthen us to go out into the world, our daily jobs, our homes, and
our neighborhoods and live a life worthy of Christ’s calling. When we study the spiritual disciplines, we are studying the ways that we can continue to serve even when it hard and even when the way WE understand serving Christ may be different.
